Work Placement – Objective Image website proposal

Also on my work placement i worked on a website proposal for a photographic and print company called objective image. My brief was to come up with a concept and give an idea of what it would look like on photoshop (the logo is objective images new logo that was given to me) . My idea was based around using a camera lens, each page was centered around this idea.

Work Placement – Smarty Pants school uniform company brochure

Last week i was on a work placement for this design agency in North London called Kube. One of the briefs i did for them was to produce a brochure for a school uniform company called kube. I incorporated the images she wanted to use and also came up with the layout. As the two main images had grass in them i thought of using grass at the bottom. In my heading on my front cover i also reflected the main image by having muck coming off of the text. After doing this spread the client then made changes to the images we used and we had to work on a new layout. We made the changes the client required and i worked with the team at kube to help them produce the final brochure for print. It was all good experience where i learnt how designers work with clients and i found this very interesting.

YCN Student Awards – Monster Munch Advertisement Finals

These are my final advertisement posters which i will enter in for the YCN Student Awards competition. I have printed my illustrations and then put them into my photo album and then took photographs of it. I then worked on the layout to make it fit in the strap line and the logo. I am pleased with how it has turned out and now i will go to the YCN headquarters either tomorrow or friday to enter the competition =)

YCN Student Awards – Monster Munch Advertisement Illustrations

These are the illustrations I have produced for my monster munch advertising project. The brief was to advertise monster munch so it is engaging to students and the target audience was from 16- 24 years of age. I thought of the idea of monsters being students themselves and i played on this idea. I then expanded on this by the monsters being naughty students and they cause chaos on campus…

Cardiff Half Marathon – 3 final logo’s

These are my 3 alternative logo designs that i entered into the nationwide competition for the Cardiff Half Marathon. What I felt was important was to get a feel for the race itself so the location of Cardiff I centred a lot of my ideas around. The first logo has 3 of cardiff main landmarks on a stopwatch, the second logo is on a man finishing the race with Cardiff castle and birds flying in the background and the third logo is of a racing number bib which is similar to the Wales flag.

Exhibition at uni!

Two pieces of my work is now in a exhibition at Havering College. Its good to see my work being framed and exhibited like this. The work on the left is my 1st poster of the 3 typographic posters I did on the Berlin Wall and it was printed to a1 size. The work on the information board I did on the Berlin Wall and it was printed to a2 size.

Personal Promotion – A Little Book About Me

This is the final book which i have chosen to do for my Personal Promotion Project. I am going to send this off to a range of companies where i will hopefully gain a work placement with. I will be looking for small design agencies as i feel i will work well there as my all-round skills can be used.
