Banksy does the Simpsons!

A bit of a quality effort from Banksy on a simpson title sequence! Not what i am used to seeing from him, a really creative sequence! Watch and enjoy… =)

Inspiration: Catch me if you can title sequence

I am a big fan of this title sequence. Its really clever how it uses typography and the sequence flows so effectively. After seeing this a few years ago it really started my interest in motion graphics and is part of the reason why i am looking to include animation in my FMP.

Inspiration: My visit to the De La War Pavilion in Bexhill, Sussex

What I am doing for my final year…

This is my first blog for a while and that is due to the summer break. Over the summer i have been researching for my Final Major Project and reading books for my Thesis. I have enjoyed the summer break but i am now looking forward to getting back to college for my very important final year!

I need to come up with 3 different stories for each individual book. I am also undecided whether to follow up the stories and turning them into animations or to have them as totally different stories. Continue reading

These are the final book jackets designs that i handed in yesterday for my Final Major Project. I have taken influence from many different sources such as Russian Constructivism and Collage Illustrations but my main influence came from previous Penguin Book designs. They influenced me in the way how they are hand made and abstract but still so effective. For this brief i wanted to create a series that is distinctive and iconic, whilst being appropriate to the stories within the books themselves.
